Not the most sensible Jaanu dress.

Making a mostly white dress for a 3 year old may not be the most practical thing I've ever made but I still love it!

I'd had this fabric on my radar for a while now and after making one version of the Jaanu dress I knew it would look lovely for the fuller-skirt Norah version.  It's from a Dennyse Schmidt line and has a really lovely vintage feel.

The pattern all went together nicely just like the other versions made.  The length and fit is great.  I also got the zip and back bodice lined it perfectly first time, but then noticed the print was ever so slightly off.  Grr! It matched nicely on the side seams though.

The pleats and fuller skirt has a beautiful shape and the dress was perfect for the taste of nice weather we've had this weekend.  I know I will definitely be making another one of these dresses, maybe in a bit more of a practical colour next time...

I was so pleased the other day to find some nice shoes that fit around her AFO boot and that will look nice with her dresses and skirts.  It makes a nice change from the runners that has previously been the only thing we've found that works.

    1. Thank you, and its funny to be so happy about finding shoes, but it can be very difficult to find ones that fit! Hopefully blue will go with everything...
