I've sewn up a few of these now and it always looks good. This time I went for the top version with pleats. I've made a dress with the gathers but I must say I prefer the pleats. With it being summer I made the cap sleeve version as I like a bit of covering on Freya's shoulders during the warmer weather.

Butterfly Geranium Top
It is official, I think the geranium dress/top pattern has to be one of my all time favourite patterns!

The fabric is Flo's garden butterflies by Makower. I bought a metre and a half a while back and still have some left for something else I've not yet decided on. It's really very cute I think this top will be quite versatile. Here she is wearing it with a pair of parsley pants, also a Made-by-Rae pattern.

Adorable girl and top!
ReplyDeleteJust saw this on Flickr. Cute! I love the pleated version of the Geranium, and it looks great as a tunic.
ReplyDeleteThanks. I very much have a fondness for the pleated version. I'm already thinking of making another one...
