Marina Romper

This was actually the first Marina Romper from Cali Faye I made last year.  It was miles too big at the time and had to be put back in the cupboard.  Luckily it fits now and she's getting a lot of wear out of it.

The pattern itself is pretty straightforward.  I think the trickiest thing was getting the lines of stitching for the elastic casings right.  On this version too the straps are too long.  From what I remember the strap is not graded for size and would probably be fine on bigger sizes but not one this small in my opinion.  The other altered version I made last year had shortened straps and if I make it again I'd keep them shorter.

The style is a nice loose, billowy romper that is great for the warmer weather.  I love this colour green on her.  It's some fabric from "A Day in the Country" range and works perfectly.

Little Miss seems to like it too and is very happy to run around and play on what's left of our grass in it.

  2. Thanks, it was one of those that I knew exactly what I'd make with it when I saw it.
