Pink Miss Polly with some bling!

I have had this dress cut out for soooo long, it was nice to finally finish it.

I was lucky enough to win this fabric from Maai Design in a giveaway from a blog.  It was a metre of this beautiful pink fabric and gold piping.  Gold piping isn't something I ever thought I'd use but it works so perfectly with this fabric.

Having that fabric and piping instantly made me think of the Miss Polly dress pattern by SewPony. This time I used the cap-sleeve version and added piping there too.  I was a bit undecided whether or not to add some contrast pockets, but I ended up going with my original plan of using all the same fabric.

I love how it's turned out.  The dress isn't a super fast sew with the piping, sleeves and an invisible zip, but it was so worth it.  Freya loves the big pocket at the front.
